Trained Chef or Experienced Cook wanted for small, friendly owner-run Boutique Tourist Hotel. Initial 3 months may be part-time providing opportunity to discover Tasmania and assist in establishing a thriving restaurant trade. Proven experience or recent qualifications in commercial cookery and knowledge of safe food handling techniques is essential. RSA certificate and drivers’ license is desirable.

You will be a competent self-motivated cook/chef for our café and al la carte restaurant. As well as being in charge of the kitchen, you will provide waiter and beverage service as required, and at times be responsible for front-desk reception. You must be able to work un-supervised in this challenging but rewarding position.

Lodgings and use of car can be arranged. A basic weekly wage will be paid with a bonus at conclusion of a 6 month contract.

You need to be honest, reliable, presentable, articulate, confident, and flexible. You must be team-oriented and capable of working alone and with others in a professional manner. Do not apply if you are a smoker or heavy drinker.
